A festive Christmas murder mystery party game. This lively North Pole mystery is packed with eccentric Christmas City residents, holiday gossip, suspicious rivalries, carefully guarded secrets, and two connected investigations. Santa has already been gunned down before the party, leaving the town shaken and suspicious. Guests will briefly examine his murder through a light fingerprint-matching investigation, but the central mystery begins during the annual Christmas Jamboree at Noel’s Tavern, when one of the player characters becomes the victim. The guests must investigate the new crime and uncover the killer.

So this was our 3rd murder mystery we have purchased. It was our biggest group thus far with 17 teens! The last two were so much fun (80's and mullet mayhem) we were sure this would be great. Not so much. The character development lacked, the instructions were NOT clear like the others, and it just wasn't as much fun. Even the kids who have been to all of the murder mystery parties were sad it was a flop. The rounds of clues were not good. The characters never really developed like the previous games. There were no funny moments or silly things or "scandalous" details. When the one person was revealed to have slayed Santa, it was such a lack luster moment. I'm hoping if we choose your company again for nexts years party, we won't be disappointed.
I have done several of these and this one was by far the most confusing. I really prefer for there to be a script for the host, rather than having me read it and infer what I should say and then speak to the group. This one just didn't flow well and I was stressed out the whole party. Also, asking the murderer to have everyone give them a cartoon character was super dumb and made the ending really anticlimactic. Really ruined the end of the game, which is what you're waiting for the whole time. Just unfortunately disappointing this time.
I wanted to like this so much and had planned to play it with my family this Christmas but it was confusing. I see a lot of work went into putting together this package but assembling it was just as much work. We ended up not using it at all.
The characters are fun. And premise is entertaining. I always tweak the format a bit because it suits our group better. I do an introductory round where we go around and each person introduces him/her self to group with a prewritten line or two. This will be our group’s 4th murder mystery and a party that everyone looks forward to. (We actually won’t be doing this party until Jan 2022…the house will still be decorated from Christmas). Also I have found that it is easier if my husband and I don’t take an official role. For this one I will be Noel and he will be the bartender.
We had a blast with this mystery! Only thing I could say negative was the instructions were unclear at times on the order of events. Made hosting a little difficult. Other than having to wing a couple times it was awesome!
