This highly challenging locomotive mystery features wealthy first-class passengers, suspicious professionals, organized-crime connections, buried secrets, questionable histories, complicated evidence, interactive challenges, and murder during a steam-train journey from New York City to Cleveland.

1930s Train Murder Mystery Party Game Synopsis:

Built in 1891, the Buffalo Express is a luxurious steam locomotive that makes five stops between New York City and Cleveland, Ohio. The year is 1934, and the train is preparing to leave New York City with every seat in its first-class carriage reserved.

The crew has made certain the food is fresh, the ice cubes are perfectly square, and every corner of the train is spotless. With so many important passengers aboard, nothing can be left to chance. You have secured passage on the Buffalo Express, packed your luggage, and prepared your ticket—but this elegant journey is about to become a challenging murder investigation. This is where your story begins.

Host a Large Group Game:
  • Main Game: 11 unique suspect characters
  • Expandable Buffalo Express Crew: Up to 21 duplicate, non-suspect crew-member roles
    • The additional crew members participate in the game but do not introduce new suspects or evidence.

The complete game can accommodate up to 32 players. Ruth Cavetti and Kit Barcroft appear in the pre-game storyline but are not playable roles and should not be assigned to guests.

Important: This Sherlock-level mystery is rated 9/10 and is not recommended for novice sleuths. Gameplay requires Wi-Fi access for three videos and an interactive online challenge. No traditional victim-player, victim sign, or forensic report.
