A freaky circus-and-carnival murder mystery party game set beneath the Big Top in the dismal town of Deadwood Valley. This dark carnival mystery is packed with eccentric performers, dangerous stunts, creepy attractions, criminal histories, simmering scandals, hidden motives, bitter rivalries, Big Top drama, and murder at the first funfair in town.

Murder Mystery Party Game Synopsis:

The Greatest Show on Earth is a traveling company of eccentric performers, including clowns, acrobats, musicians, dancers, daredevils, illusionists, and sideshow attractions. The Big Top production is accompanied by a bustling carnival filled with thrilling rides, games of chance, a wax museum, walk-through exhibits, unusual attractions, and awe-inspiring stunts.

Max A. Million, the peculiar ringmaster and master of ceremonies, is preparing to debut the company’s first funfair in the dismal town of Deadwood Valley. Unfortunately, Max is having difficulty bringing this eclectic collection of performers and carnival workers together. Behind the colorful costumes and dazzling attractions, the employees share bitter rivalries, dangerous secrets, criminal histories, wounded pride, and scandals brewing around every corner. Some performers are hiding from the law, while others stand accused of fraud, sabotage, violence, or questionable activities that could bring the entire funfair crashing down.

Max has scheduled a mandatory celebration beneath the Big Top in hopes of uniting the troubled company before opening night. Whether this gathering will create harmony or unleash complete chaos remains to be seen. You are an employee of The Greatest Show on Earth, and Max has made it clear that attendance is mandatory. Dust off your finest party attire and prepare to step beneath the Big Top. This is where your story begins.

This game was so much fun. I have played a number of murder mystery games in the past, but I really enjoyed the style of this one. The three envelope system meant that those who didn't want to memorize had nothing to worry about. I enjoyed that one of the characters playing was the victim, but that character could still participate even after the murder happened. The characters in this theme were fun to play, and the variety of flexible gender parts made it easy to put many of our friends in roles they could pull off. Most of the players stated that they wanted to come back next year for the next one. I'm already looking through themes for next year!

I host a mystery party every year, and this was the best yet! Greatest Murder has a large cast of characters and back stories which helps everyone have a unique role to play. Everyone had a great time!

Awesome Party!

This party was so much fun! The guests enjoyed the characters and there were a lot of laughs as the drama unfolded. As the host I cast myself in a non-required role so I could be an understudy if any of the required chapters could not attend. Worked well as I had a last minute cancellation so I would recommend that to anyone hosting!

Lots of Laughter

This was the third party I’ve purchased. We played as a family and all ages from mid-70’s to early 20’s ( with one 10 year old thrown in) and everyone had a great time.

The instructions are spot on. I love that talking points are given, but not a script to read so conversations flow naturally. I hosted so I threw myself in as carnival staff so I had a reason to be getting food on the table and organizing.

The circus theme was a hoot. So much work went in to costumes. Everyone looked great. The party was well worth the money and the family memories were priceless.

MORE CHARACTERS

I have always loved each script. I was super excited to have a circus themed party but I wish there were more expansion packs for this story!

The Greatest Murder Party to Date!

I've attended several murder mystery parties, but this was my fist time hosting. I was beyond nervous, but the download walked me through everything I needed to do as a host and everything was able to be done without spoiling the mystery to me as the host. I plan on doing more of these, probably two or three a year. I was so impressed by how simple they really were to coordinate and how much fun everyone had as a result!

Great mystery choice with only 6 characters needed

I chose this game because there aren't many to choose from when you only have 6 adults to play - but it was a fantastic hit! I especially appreciated that the "Table of Contents" in the file alerted which pages contained spoilers so I could host the party without having to know the solution ahead of time. Everyone had a blast - definitely recommend!
*One suggestion for an in-game activity: I had everyone answer 5 questions in character beforehand (things like favorite movie, favorite song, favorite car) - then at the party, guests had to try to guess which character gave which answer. People were very creative and it helped build everyone's character leading up to the event.

So much fun!

My friends and I had so much fun playing this game. I loved how versatile the group could be in terms of size and gender. The circus theme was unique and all the clues added up without being too obvious. Would definitely recommend this!

Big Top is Big Fun!

My friends and I are big fans of this site. We've played several of their games. We loved this circus themed game. I hosted it at a gymnasium to make it extra realistic. I played Starr and with the pregame was able to make the character my own as well as interact before the party with the other characters. Each character was fun to play. My guests and I are already planning our next one in three weeks. Love, love, love!!!
