Murder Mystery Party Game Synopsis:
The owners of the old Madison Avenue Mansion are once again hosting their annual Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball, and the citizens of New Orleans are buzzing with excitement.
Of course, the excitement comes with a touch of dread. Locals know that events held at the historic mansion have a habit of going terribly wrong. The infamous French Quarter estate was built in the mid-1800s and is rumored to be haunted by malevolent spirits. Weddings held at the mansion famously end in divorce. Visiting travelers have vanished without a trace, and strange accidents have occurred during some of the estate’s most lavish gatherings. During one unforgettable gala, an uninvited guest wandered in from Bourbon Street, stole a bite of king cake, and promptly choked to death.
Still, despite the mansion’s troubling history and occasional mishap, the annual Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball remains one of the most sought-after events of Carnival Season. This year’s tickets sold out in record time, and the guest list includes an unpredictable collection of New Orleans professionals, public figures, entertainers, socialites, and local eccentrics.
You are a thrill-seeker, and this is exactly your kind of risk.
Armed with insider knowledge that tickets were limited, you were among the first to secure yours. You have chosen the perfect mask and are ready for an unforgettable evening inside Madison Avenue Mansion. This is where your story begins.

Bought this for my 15 year old’s birthday party with teens 14-18 and they had a blast! No one figured out the killer but they all came in character and had a great time!
For a bunch of teenage adults playing their characters halfheartedly without any costumes/menus/extras (All I got was the PDF and I only used the invites and main game) WE STILL HAD LOADS OF FUN. Language is all very American (Aussie here) but we still tried hard to solve the mystery and come out with two winners. We played with the minimum and had fun discovering our characters as we divulged clues to other people.
We had a blast playing absolving this game! The package came quickly, was organized, allowed for me to prepare the game without knowing the details or outcome so I could play too!
We will definitely purchase another game to play in the future!
I used this for an all female cast and they had a wonderful time!
I did this with a group of 13-16 year olds. The material was easy to follow for me to plan out. However, I have to give 3 stars due to some difficult words for young teens. Also, I wish the hints and clues weren’t in 3rd person. At least for my group they had trouble realizing the cards were talking about themselves instead of another character. We are already planning another murder mystery but not sure if I will purchase again from mymystery.
