Murder at the Luau Party: Murder Mystery Party Game

Purchased for my daughter’s 14th bday. Total of 12 girls..was such a hit! None of them suspected who the murderer was. Getting ready to get another one for my big birthday!

The murder mystery parties are set up to make hosting so easy. Every portion of the mystery was well though of including suggested recipes.

My daughter's 13th birthday party was the Backyard Luau Party and it was a hit. She and her friends had done another one a couple of years ago so they were all well versed in how to do it. This was appropriate for their age and they had a great time! Only one of the 13 guessed the correct murderer, but they didn't mind. :)

We had a party of 10 players ages 6-56. Everyone enjoyed dressing up for their part and playing their character. We also used a couple of the bonus game ideas throughout the night and they were a big hit too. Nobody guessed who the murderer was although we all pretty much knew who the victim was based on the round one clues.

Used this party pack, with the extension pack #1, for a Halloween Murder Mystery party. We had a lot of fun getting into character and interrogating each other. I really love how new information is continually revealed which kept us on our toes and guessing. It was also super fun to get to have one of us become the victim (although that was very predictable from even the first round). Only one person from our group was able to correctly guess the murderer--we were shocked! Overall, it was a fun party and a fun storyline!

I had family over for my birthday and got a ton of dollar tree luau decorations and it cracked me up how people really got into it. I’m glad I gave myself an ‘optional’ extra role so I could keep the agenda and food running without worrying that I had mandatory info to give people within the game. No one guessed the murderer! The whole thing was really well thought out. And I didn’t realize there was on-theme food and game ideas included too! So quite a lot to print at the library but so worth it to feel so prepared. Would buy again!

We've done many boxed mysteries and was a little nervous to do a non-scripted type. I didn't need to be apprehensive, this was amazing! Everyone loved the pregame tasks to get into character and my crew always brings their a game with costumes and accents. We did awards and themed menu.
It was a great night! Will definitely use this brand again!!

I haven't even played the game yet and I am SO impressed by the customer service. I literally bought the wrong version of the 'luau' murder mystery party, and I emailed them and they gave me the download to the one I meant to buy. They went above and beyond- I will definitely support them again. Cannot wait to play this on my sister's bachelorette!

We did this with some teens in a youth group. It was so simple to put together and finding theme decorations was easy! Everyone got into their characters and it was so fun for everyone. Bc you can see the character list we were able to let our shy friends participate by playing one of the minor rolls without them feeling anxious about having all eyes on them.
I'd do it again.

The muder mystery i hosted was amazing!! I couldnt believe how into ppl into it. It was amazing when ppl sent me screenshots of the preround texts. It trult got ppl excited and i highly recommend doing the preround!! And the party itself was just as great ppl were so into their characters, it was an amazing surprise seeing how much people enjoyed it! Definitely want to host another one!

I really enjoy these parties. I believe they are written well and are explained in detail. For this product, I thought the characters names were a little weird. I understand that they are for either gender, just didn't like them. Thought they could be based more off of the theme (like the 1920's party pack - those character names where more 1920's type names)

We wanted to do something different for my daughter's 15th birthday party. We purchased the game and set the decor with luau props The friends all showed up as per their character except maybe for one. You get really into it but you need to read your clue and discuss with the other people. By the time the killer is revealed, no one had guessed it; not even the killer! Overall, it was fun and entertaining.

This was a hit at the party I hosted! We had never been to a mystey party and we're nervous about our first go, but it was FUN! Once the event began, we were so entertained that we didn't realize a few hours has passed! The characters were funny and this package came with everything we needed.

Instructions were great and easy. Game was well thought out, and fun!

Had a blast at my luau

We had two families, for a total of 9 people, playing this game. We had a great time! The instructions were clear and the game was easy to put together. I would suggest if you don't want to know the answer of "whodunit", then purchase their preprinted product, so you don't see any clues.
