Anonville Manor: Murder Mystery Party Game

My 18-year-old son decided to host a murder mystery dinner with his friends, and it turned out to be such a hit! Everyone got into character, dressed up, and played along with tons of laughter and surprises. I loved seeing how engaged they were—solving clues, accusing suspects, and staying in character right until the end.

It was the perfect mix of fun, creativity, and teamwork, and honestly, such a refreshing way for teens to spend an evening together. Highly recommend a murder mystery party for anyone looking for something different, interactive, and full of laughs.

I did this with a group of 9 people. The instructions are very detailed. We all had a great time, but we figured out the murderer very quickly. It was obvious who was going to get murdered too. The difficulty was hard according to the website but I disagree.

We ordered the game to download for a game at home. It was A LOT of pages , over 75!!. The instructions are single spaced and a lot to take in. I think this could definitely be simplified. Thank you for breaking up the Covid-19. Doldrums.

We did this for our New Years Eve party this weekend . It was a blast!! The game had great outline for the host. People are already talking about doing another murder mystery next year with hopes of it being an annual tradition. Everyone got into playing the game. We had a ton of laughs.

Only downside was I didn't listen to the other posts. It was our first time ever trying a murder mystery. Unfortunately nobody solved the mystery. That was NOT the games fault. The game is very detailed and easy to host. If this is your first time playing or hosting I would try something a bit easier.

We have never done a murder mystery before. We used the first 8 characters that were required. As the host I got myself very familiar with the instructions given to me by My Mystery Party. This was such a fun idea and the experience is completely one of its own. I would say that this level of difficulty might have been poor planning on my part for the first one ever. We were surprised at how much thought and effort had to be put into solving it and found that the party died down and people started getting frustrated toward the end of the 2nd round. We all agreed that this is something we will continue to do but we will just have to be work our way up the latter!

Played this game with a group of 14. People really enjoyed getting into character. Only two of the guests correctly guessed the murderer, so I stand by this being a fairly difficult game. We loved it! Definitely would recommend to others.

The game was great, no one guessed who the murderer was, everyone had a great time.
Thank you for making the games easy to follow & the flow was continuous. The side games were good as well to give breaks while dinner & dessert was being served.

Overall it was a really great time! We had a mixture of 21 people ages 13-90, and it worked.

So this was our very first Murder Mystery Dinner Party.... it was a great success! Everyone had a great time, characters were really fun and costumes we're very cool. Story seemed good , everyone left saying " when's the next one" Totally recommend!

I downloaded the game and it was very organized and easy to follow. Preparing the kit for the party was very easy. Guests had a great time.

This is a great deal! Everything was prepared and all I had to do was print the pages that I needed. All the information needed was given. There were recipe suggestions if you wanted to use them but again I used my own meal planning. The package also lays out a time frame for the entire evening so you know you are on the right track. I chose to read the entire mystery before assigning characters so that I would pick the best person for each. As a host, I also gave myself a character but I was very selective about it in order to accommodate my hosting expectations...

This is the 4th party we've ordered from my mystery party and they've all been great. This was for my 15 year old daughters birthday with 10 kids - both girls and boys. I was looking for something challenging because she and her friends love puzzles and games and a good challenge. They had so much fun. The only thing I changed was the word scramble. I knew that would be too easy for them. Instead I made a list of phobias and definitions. In teams they had to match the phobia word with the rIght definition. We played all of the other optional games except charades. This game is great for teens and would be fun for adults as well.

We had 12 players and everyone dressed and acted their parts. It was a lot of fun! We found the clues were not descriptive enough to narrow down the killer. No one was even close to identifying a suspect, motive, etc. This murder is challenging and I don't recommend for beginners.

We had 20 guests for the Anonville Manor murder mystery dinner party. The guests had a blast. No one 'guessed' the murderers identy early. It took me a few hours to set up the game. If your short on time it would be worth having the vendor send you a ready to go kit.

Our daughter did the Ravenswood mystery party last year and this year her friends wanted her to have another mystery birthday party so it was nice to find one that had so many players and could add more from the expansion pack too to include 21 friends.
