A challenging interactive murder mystery party game centered on the suspicious death and last will of a powerful corporate executive. This evidence-packed mystery features inheritance disputes, feuding relatives, corporate power struggles, suspicious accidents, backstabbing executives, complicated secrets, investigative websites, required video clues, and murder at the Bentley estate.
Murder Mystery Party Game Synopsis:
Two days ago, Hunter Bentley’s body was discovered in the front courtyard of his sprawling estate. Because of the chaotic scene, the coroner initially believed that a bizarre series of unfortunate accidents had caused his death. As the chief executive officer of Hemloxx, Incorporated, Hunter controlled a powerful company upon which thousands of livelihoods depended.
Within an hour of the discovery, Hunter’s sibling assumed control of Hemloxx. Meanwhile, relatives descended upon the mansion and began making questionable claims to Hunter’s possessions. The unexpected guests occupying the estate in the affluent Rumson Waterloo Estates neighborhood have already started feuding over money, property, and corporate influence.
This morning, Hunter Bentley’s death was officially declared a homicide. His attorney has summoned the family to a mandatory meeting concerning Hunter’s obligations, possessions, estate, and last will. A local news anchor has also encouraged anyone who believes they might be named in the will to attend. You suspect Hunter may have left you something, so you plan to be there. This is where your story begins.

- Allow ink to dry completely before cutting, folding, or assembling the materials.
Printer settings and results may vary by printer.
The detail in the kit is excellent. Thorough evidence, company website, videos, etc…
A few useful tips for running it however;
It needs a special page or warning on how to know when to change rounds as that part is different from the other My Mystery Party kits. For round one it was a normal ‘when about half the people start looking around without a conversation partner’. For starting the envelope turn in however, I triggered that as half my players were no longer studying the evidence and looked ready to guess. Unfortunately that made those who gave up to pressure those still piecing together evidence to turn in before sure if their guess so no one solved it.
As typical of a My Mystery Party kit, I always play the trailer and have everyone use cutout strips of the character bios to introduce themselves. It can be a tad awkward converting 3rd to 1st person, but it smooths over ‘who are you?’ part.
Also, I convert the optional ending ideas to be linked to the player actions. So the murderer chooses between persuading everyone not to turn him in to running away. Then I link success and failure for each option they choose to the closest to plausible ending for that result (best endings for their character on success, worst on failure.)
Overall, there’s things I would change in running it as a botched the timing bad enough that my players enjoyed the previous games I’ve run more, but the kit is 5 star quality. Absolutely would recommend do would keep the pacing in mind. Plan for a much longer time studying evidence than any other kit as too much of the solution is in the evidence to not go over every detail.
Had an absolutely amazing time with my 13 friends! The best part was that the game was so adaptable - we could easily add more friends or remove some if they couldn't come. The pre-game texting really got everyone excited and involved right from the start. The case files provided so much information that we were fully immersed in the game. Hosting was a breeze and didn't require much setup time - just follow the instructions and you're good to go! What made it even better was that I was able to set up without knowing who the murderer was, so it kept the suspense alive. It was so funny to see how even those who weren't initially interested got so invested in the game by the end. One memorable moment was when Kirby mistakenly thought a nail given to him by Lucky was a clue - so he was obsessed with it the entire night but didn’t tell us. Even though it was Sherlock level we were able to solve it even though it was our first time ever doing a murder mystery! Everyone is already planning to do it again! It was so much fun and I highly recommend it if you're looking for an enjoyable and stress-free murder mystery party. The price is definitely worth it considering everything that's included!
First, was blown away by the friendly, responsive, and genuinely thoughtful customer service. Nancy helped me pick the perfect game for my party based on my customized event. We ultimately decided to move forward with The Last Will of Hunter Bentley.
The materials that were available to hype the party really brought an elevated vibe to the event. Information drops helped the guests familiarize themselves with the storyline and the characters--including their own.
The event itself was a great night! The host guide makes the party simple to host, but it comes with plenty of flexibility for additional customization.
Our guests brought their A games with costumes and really got into the game flow. The pre-recorded videos helped set the tone for the event. The mystery was difficult to solve, especially for a group our size---but we still had a few that were able to crack the code.
My only reservation on this game was the amount of information available. The hide/share information for each character contained a trove of information. Beyond that there were 2 drops for case files that were full of INTENSE detail! A few of our guests spent more time analyzing the case files than mingling.
All in all, this is an incredibly written and thought out game. This company is a leader in their industry, and we will 100% be returning customers soon!!
