Host an unforgettable virtual Mardi Gras murder mystery party game from anywhere! Foul Play in the French Quarter is a downloadable game designed for Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and other video-chat platforms. Unlike traditional mingling-style games, this version uses an open-forum format in which players communicate as a group and receive the same evidence, while still forming their own conclusions and submitting independent guesses of whodunit. The video platform is used solely for communication, so the game may also be played in person with fewer than eight players or adapted for a hybrid event.

Mystery Synopsis

Oil tycoon Trais Fontenot is hosting an exclusive Mardi Gras celebration for the who's who of New Orleans. The party will take place at the famous One-Eyed Blacksmith Bar, an 18th-century cottage on Bourbon Street and one of the oldest surviving structures in the French Quarter.

Once the home of a blacksmith during the Spanish Colonial period, the legendary watering hole has accumulated a rich history of scandals, murder, and mayhem. The past year has also brought discord among the citizens of the Big Easy, so Trais hopes a lavish Fat Tuesday celebration will mend old wounds, rebuild broken bridges, and rekindle friendships.

You have received an invitation. Many of your rivals will be there, but that will not stop you from putting on your finest Mardi Gras attire and joining the festivities. Behind the music, masks, and glittering beads, however, trouble is simmering.  This is where your story begins.
