Non-Murder Mystery Party Game Synopsis:
Dr. Percy Peabody has invited an exclusive group of guests to his mansion in the gloomy town of Dead Hollow for a mysterious VIP dining experience. This will be no ordinary dinner party.
During the evening, Dr. Peabody will secretly plant a saboteur among the guests and challenge the group with a series of demanding physical, intellectual, and teamwork-based competitions. Successfully completing the challenges will earn valuable clues that may reveal the identity of the spy hiding among the guests. Every participant has a curious background, an unusual personality, and a possible reason for being selected by the eccentric host.
Some guests may cooperate to uncover the truth, while others could become distracted by rivalries, secrets, and their desire to claim the Peabody fortune. Whoever correctly identifies the saboteur will leave the mansion unscathed with a share of Dr. Peabody’s immense wealth. Those who guess incorrectly may not be so fortunate. You have accepted the challenge—and this is where your story begins.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults/2 teens) and played with another family of 6 (2 adults/2teens2kids). It was a lot of fun. The adults and teens were the required 8 characters and it was wonderful to have gender neutral names and also optional characters we could assign to the smaller kids. I wish we hadn’t done it at dinner though - I’d recommend doing a buffet of appetizers, snacks, etc. I also highly recommend the chopsticks challenge for round 3! We added M&Ms as an added bonus. All the rounds were fun. I will say our spy had no clue, and I think the overall clues to his/her identity are tough. Overall, it was great, and we will play it again with neighbors and just be hosts.
This is a TRICKY one, and such fun - the team challenges were HILARIOUS and a good break from wracking our brains trying to figure out the spy clues. Take note of the age minimum and revise upwards if you're working with a crew who gets frustrated easily. It's completely fine to NOT figure out the Spy (other than the whole dying thing), and people who were clueless still had a good time, but this is DEFINITELY a good mental exercise for those who are good with locked-room mysteries and stumping clues.
This was our 2nd murder mystery game we ordered...loved it. Really enjoyed the challenges!
So much fun! My guests are still talking about our spy dinner party. Even my quiet friends had fun with this. We had 14 people and it took close to 3 hours to complete. Highly recommend if you are looking for laughter and great memories.
It was so super simple to download after purchasing and getting the kit ready was a breeze. I loved that I didn't have to wait for anything in the mail and didn't waste money on shipping. So convenient for last minuters like me! The game was a ton of fun - my guests are still laughing! Thanks for this!
