No subscription is required. You will receive the complete case and a definitive solution with evidence identifying the killer.
Murder Mystery Synopsis
Have you ever wanted to assist the FBI with an active serial killer investigation? This is your opportunity to step into the shoes of Dr. Casey Gold, a leading criminal psychologist with the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit.
Special Agent Rue has requested your immediate assistance with the hunt for an elusive serial killer known as the Nevermore Strangler. This unidentified subject has terrorized the eastern seaboard for weeks and is now taunting investigators, daring them to make an arrest.
It is now the critical 48-hour mark since the FBI assumed control of the investigation. You must examine the victims’ files, analyze six persons of interest, uncover contradictions, interpret the forensic evidence, and determine the killer’s identity. Can you solve the case before the Nevermore Strangler claims another victim?

This non-roleplaying case file game may be played solo, on a date night, with a small group, or as a large investigative event. There is no fixed player limit because everyone shares access to the same case materials. However, if you did not opt to have us make additional copies for your kit and are playing with a large group of ~15 or more, you should make copies of the printed documents for each round for your party.
- Play solo as Dr. Casey Gold.
- Work together as one investigative team. Appoint one player as Dr. Gold, with the remaining players serving as Dr. Gold’s colleagues at the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU). Although this is a non-roleplaying game, establishing a hierarchy can add structure to the investigation.
- Divide into smaller teams and compete to solve the case. Aim for no more than four players per document or make copies of the printed case files.
- Choose how to submit final deductions. Individual players or teams may submit separate conclusions, or everyone can collaborate in an open group discussion and agree on whodunit together.
Bought this for my 15 year old who hosted a Halloween party for 3 friends. They all got right into it and enjoyed it immensely. It was tricky enough to keep them on their toes but they were able to solve it in the end. Definitely a return customer!
The game was pretty well thought out and provided 4 hours of fun. There was one clue that made the killer all too obvious, but for those who didn’t happen to catch it it was a thriller all the way to the end!
I love the fact that I can download the game and that it is challenging. I will be buying the rest of the Catch a Killer downloads.
it was so much fun playing this one although i wish there were photos of evidence and/crime scenes to really make it feel like a real case .
Had a few friends over and we played this mystery. It was really fun though a bit easier than the last one we did. Still it made the night and didnt take too long. Definitely recommend and will be buying again soon!
