Create an unforgettable personalized icebreaker with the Custom Mystery Mixer: Guess the Person Game. Each mystery is designed around your friends, relatives, coworkers, classmates, or other members of your group.

Every player receives a handcrafted charm keychain containing approximately 6–8 clues representing one person at the event. Players mingle, ask questions, compare clues, and make deductions as they attempt to determine which person each keychain represents.
Unlike our standard Mystery Mixer volumes, this custom game is created exclusively for your group. At the end of the game, every participant receives a personalized charm keychain to keep as a one-of-a-kind souvenir.
Guess the Person
Each charm keychain represents someone in your group. The charms may symbolize that person’s hobbies, accomplishments, favorite things, memorable experiences, personality traits, aspirations, or hilarious inside jokes.
During three interactive rounds, players mingle and study the charm clues before recording their guesses and confidence wagers. A personalized hint is revealed during the game to help narrow the possibilities before the final deductions are submitted.
After the final round, players open the Solution Envelopes and discover whom each keychain represents. Your guests will not only enjoy solving the mysteries—they will also uncover surprising facts, share stories, and learn more about one another.

How to Play
- Round One: Players mingle, examine the charm clues, and record their first guesses and confidence wagers.
- Round Two: Players open their personalized Hint Envelopes, continue investigating, and submit another guess.
- Round Three: Everyone makes a final deduction and confidence wager.
- The Reveal: Players open the labeled Solution Envelopes to discover the identities represented by the keychains.
Play casually as an activity throughout your event or follow the complete Mystery Mixer scoring rules and award points for correct deductions and successful confidence wagers.
What Does Each Player Receive?
- 1 handcrafted charm keychain with approximately 6–8 clue charms
- 1 personalized Hint Card inside a sealed envelope
- 1 personalized Solution Card inside a labeled, sealed envelope
- 1 Investigator Card for recording three guesses and confidence wagers
- 1 solid color velveteen keepsake pouch
The exact number of charms may vary because every set is individually designed to point toward one person without revealing the answer too quickly. Eight pouch colors are available, so colors will repeat in groups larger than eight.
Ordering Your Custom Mystery Mixer
Before ordering, channel your inner Sherlock and gather 12 fun, lesser-known facts about each participant. Interesting, obscure facts create the most entertaining mysteries.
After placing your order, send the participant information using one of these methods:
- Email everything to support@mymysteryparty
- Send a message through your My Mystery Party account—recommended for the easiest communication
- Enter the information in the provided text field during checkout
For Each Participant, Include:
- The person’s name exactly as it should appear on the Solution Card
- 12 fun, obscure, or lesser-known facts about that person
Our puzzle designers will select the charms, create the personalized hints, and balance the complete collection so that each mystery ultimately points to one unique person without revealing the answer too quickly.
Please monitor your email during production. We may request additional facts if several participants have similar interests or backgrounds, or if a submitted fact cannot be represented clearly with an available charm. A prompt response will help keep production on schedule.
Only submit personal facts that participants would be comfortable having shared during the event.
Need Ideas for Your Clues?
The best clues are recognizable after the reveal but are not immediately obvious on their own. Consider submitting facts such as:
- Favorite foods, movies, television shows, books, or hobbies
- Hidden talents or unusual skills
- Funny childhood stories
- Memorable vacations or adventures
- Guilty pleasures and pet peeves
- Favorite holidays, sports, or teams
- Beach person or mountain person
- Early bird or night owl
- Left-handed or right-handed
- Birth month or zodiac sign
- Number of siblings
- Childhood accomplishments
- First job
- Favorite board game or candy
- Middle name
- Type of pets owned or preferred
- Interesting goals or aspirations
- Inside jokes that others in the group may recognize
A few physical or identifying details—such as initials, eye color, or hair color—may be used when they apply to multiple people in the group. Avoid clues that immediately identify one participant, such as a unique occupation, spouse’s name, children’s names, or exact hometown.
The magic happens when each individual clue could describe several people, but the complete collection points to only one.
Production Time
Allow approximately 10–14 business days after we receive all participant information and any necessary clarifications. Production cannot begin until the required information has been submitted and approved.
