How to Create the Crime Scene
Once your victim is revealed (don't set it up in advance), place the body silhouette mat in your chosen party area and secure it with floor-safe tape if needed. Surround the scene with barrier tape, balloons, and evidence markers. The markers may also be used to label buffet dishes or party stations.
You can prepare the decorations before guests arrive, place them in another room or closet, and then unveil the crime scene when the victim is revealed. The finished area also creates a memorable murder mystery photo backdrop - it's not used for the investigation.
Important: These items are decorative and are not evidence used to solve the mystery. Position the mat and barrier tape where they will not create a tripping hazard.
