Murder Mystery Synopsis:

In a quiet, foggy town in an unassuming neighborhood known as Misty Oaks, there is a sinister force lurking within the walls of what the town calls Ripper House.  Built on an ancient burial ground in the 1920’s by The Butcher of Noxhelm, the house has claimed over a hundred lives with some of the bodies said to have been buried in the crawl spaces. Visitors claim to have witnessed lights flickering, doors slamming, and other paranormal incidents.  It is well documented in history that whoever owns the home  will be dealt a hefty case of doom and despair with a twist of death and destruction.

Ben and Brenda Biggs are the new homeowners of 203 Moorgate Street, and have invited the neighborhood over for a housewarming party. They seem like a nice couple, which is such a shame. You were invited. This is where your story begins.

    Noxhelm Murders

This game was so much fun! We have played so many of these and I loved the twists in this one. The characters are a lot of fun and the setting is perfect. I recommend a bigger group for this one!

    So much fun! Great plot

Posted by Natalie on Aug 14th 2022

I hosted this party for a total of 13 people. We were all on vacation together, so it was important to pick a party with easy but still fun costumes. I chose to be Detective Shockley to be involved in the fun, but also knew that is an optional character so if I accidentally found something out or needed to assist during the party it would be fine. The characters are really fun, with a few kooky ones. We had some really good laughs along the way. The ending was a surprise and no one guessed it! Like any murder mystery party, there is quite a bit of prep beforehand, but it was well worth it. I was able to prep everything myself without seeing any spoilers. The pages are good about warning you about spoilers, so I knew where to avert my eyes. People really got into character. We were on a week long trip together- people were talking about it before and after- it was a night to remember! I can't wait to pick out another party!

    Had a Great Time

it is going to hard to find a game that will beat this. I do a murder party every year and last Halloween did this one .It is by far the best game with more twist and turns that even the party giver is shocked at the end.

    Great Twist

Posted by Patti Smith on Sep 27th 2020

Okay you got us! We did not see those twists coming! We did this party around the campfire and were like WHAT?! Great job! My only "complaint" would be that there isn't more of a separate host's guide. I didn't want to spoil it for myself and I was so careful not to look ahead that I almost missed the thing about the forensic report and such. We had a great time! Really fun! ------------------------------------- FROM MMP STAFF: We're glad the author got you! LOL. As far as the host guide - we have the materials for the download version all in one file, as many people send to UPS to get printed and this streamlines it. We do see your point about the host guide, but many times in our early days when we had separated files (we've tried almost everything), we had instances where the host didn't send all files and then their party was compromised :( We do mark the table of contents very carefully with the pages that are spoilers, so you know what to look at. We do our best! The best way to prevent spoilers is the party ready pack version - where we create the boxed set for you. Thanks for your feedback! I just wanted to clarify why the host instructions aren't separated.

    Very Fun and Good Storyline

Well written and easy to put together. Not a 'given' who did it. Takes some attention to detail to figure it out.

Still being talked about days and weeks later.

Posted by Chris Thomas on Jul 18th 2019

Planning is key to a fun and successful night. All of the guests enjoyed themselves completely. The game directions, pre-game set up, and overall game layout was superior. Days afterwards our guests still talked about how much fun they had and are now asking when the next one will be, and YES! we are planning another murder mystery dinner. I am very confident that we just started a tradition. This game will not disappoint and has some great twists built in!

    Great fun!

Posted by SCR on Apr 23rd 2018

I held this party with my co-workers and we all had a blast! This was my first time hosting one of these parties, so I could have done a better job being prepared. It was really easy to prepare, and everyone really got into the story. What a fun night! The pre-game tasks were a hit, too!
