Mystery Synopsis:

Miles Randolph was a ruthless cheapskate who loathed everyone in the town of Pinewood Landing. A miserly outsider, Mr. Randolph only left his mansion to run his toy factory, Randolph Toys, Incorporated, which was the largest producer of toys in the world. Miles spent his life amassing his fortune and churning out hate, grief, and gloom to all who crossed his path.

Nobody blinked an eye when the staff of his estate found Miles Randolph’s body this morning. The crime scene was made to appear as if he died from natural causes, but the clever homicide detectives of Pinewood Landing caught on to the ruse. The question is not if he were murdered, but rather, who could have pulled off such a crime? Is the killer an employee of the toy factory? A family member? The butler? Or might it be one of the many colleagues he has wronged in the past?

The Pinewood Landing detectives have asked for your help to solve the case. Further instructions will be sent to you for the exact time and place that you will meet with the team who is assigned to solve this case. You should be aware - everyone assigned to delve into this case was associated with Miles Randolph, as he had numerous ties to many networks around the world. It would be dangerous for you not to attend, as the others might consider your absence a confession. This is where your story begins.

YOU WILL RECEIVE:

  • Host instruction file - including bonus games to play virtually, player instructions, and a timeline sheet (abbreviated instructions) for your event.

Perfect virtual game for a party!

Posted by Unknown on Oct 28th 2020

I played this game with friends over Zoom for my birthday this year, and we all loved it! It was the best virtual activity I've done during quarantine. I would highly recommend! We played with a group of 9, and all went very smoothly. I will definitely be playing more of mystery party's virtual murder mystery games in the future!

    Great virtual work party!

This was a great team building activity for our work team. We did it as an after hours party virtually. Not one person in the group had ever participated in a Murder Mystery and yet it was still an incredibly smooth process! The fact that even the host can be kept in the dark until the very end just added to the fun! Would definitely recommend this kit for anyone looking for something fun and new to do in this virtual world!

    Excellent during quarantine

We had an excellent time. Our group had a wide range in age (13-51) and I think that helped to solve all the puzzles. Everyone got into their characters. We added a little bit to it by giving some of the characters an accent (French, and English - British). It took us about 2 hrs and we didn’t break for dinner or anything like that. We used Zoom and the platform was perfect for this game. I was able to share the screen and workout the puzzles right on the screen.

    I want to try again!

Posted by Miranda on Aug 24th 2020

It was so fun! I had 5 friends over. We're all in our 20s, and none of us guessed who the murderer is. We all want to do it again and have a second chance! If I were to do it again, I would send pg 1-5 of the character files out to my invites at least a week before so that everyone would have time to look and read. (I sent them out the night before...) I'd also try to prepare my character more so that I knew random facts that he characteristically blurts out so that I would be more prepared to play my character. Overall, super fun and actually challenging! It took longer than 2 hours, but I think that's because making dinner took longer than anticipated. We also didn't know we could use our phones to google stuff (not the answers, but to get more information and understanding). So just a heads up! You can and it might help! ;)

A lot of fun for a group

Our family of 6 really enjoyed playing this game, trying to figure our who the murderer is. The puzzles/riddles took us a while to figure out and at one point we almost gave up one the one of them, but we eventually figured them all out and had a great sense of achievement.

I was the host and at first it was confusing. But once all info was given out to the player. They really embraced it. I would do again and highly recommend. Price is good

    Very good story!

Haven't played yet, but it looks like it’s going to be awesome! I’m playing sheriff host so I have read ahead. Characters are each very playable and the stories overlap, so the optional characters are well hidden amongst the ‘important’ ones. Only thing I would say - I’ve done the fingerprint reports separate , and also a DNA results for one of the characters to open when instructed. It adds a little more fun, waiting for a character to open it and everyone gasp in shock XD Overall, it looks like it will be A class to play, and will make my mate’s 30th birthday a little more cheery in quarantine!

    Something different for lockdown

A fun way to spend a couple of hours during lockdown. None of us guessed the murderer!
