Mystery Synopsis:

Miles Randolph was a ruthless cheapskate who loathed everyone in the town of Pinewood Landing. A miserly outsider, Mr. Randolph only left his mansion to run his toy factory, Randolph Toys, Incorporated, which was the largest producer of toys in the world. Miles spent his life amassing his fortune and churning out hate, grief, and gloom to all who crossed his path.

Nobody blinked an eye when the staff of his estate found Miles Randolph’s body this morning. The crime scene was made to appear as if he died from natural causes, but the clever homicide detectives of Pinewood Landing caught on to the ruse. The question is not if he were murdered, but rather, who could have pulled off such a crime? Is the killer an employee of the toy factory? A family member? The butler? Or might it be one of the many colleagues he has wronged in the past?

The Pinewood Landing detectives have asked for your help to solve the case. Further instructions will be sent to you for the exact time and place that you will meet with the team who is assigned to solve this case. You should be aware - everyone assigned to delve into this case was associated with Miles Randolph, as he had numerous ties to many networks around the world. It would be dangerous for you not to attend, as the others might consider your absence a confession. This is where your story begins.

Included:

  • Host instruction file - including bonus games to play virtually, player instructions, and a timeline sheet (abbreviated instructions) for your event.

    So easy to run!

Posted by Gabi Mason on Sep 4th 2021

I planned this literally the day before and added players on the day. It was so easy to run and add players as we go. It wasn't to easy to solve so it was actually challenging considering it was only moderate rating (made it very interesting). I just can't get over how easy it was to run and also play at the same time! Overall a very enjoyable night! Absolutely loved it and rate 10/10.

    Great family activity!

Posted by Unknown on Mar 20th 2021

We just enjoyed a virtual family birthday celebration with The Murder of Myles Randolph as our centrepiece. The feedback from the 8 participant was 10 out of 10. Everyone got caught up in the excitement, even those who had initially indicated they were hesitant. As the organizer I can't say enough about how easy this was to pull together (and on short notice!). Everything was packaged together so that it was a simple roll out. I got the credit for doing all the work but truly it was one of the easiest parties I've ever hosted!

    Great for team building

Posted by Unknown on Nov 30th 2020

I purchased this murder mystery pack for a virtual team building session at work, and it went really well. As the host, the PDF walks you through what to do and when to make the game run smoothly. You as the host can also easily play a character as well. We choose to do the pre-game tasks (essentially trash talking each other) over our messaging service, and we had a lot of fun with it.

    So fun for our family!

I have hosted a couple of murder mysteries with friends in the past. My husband wanted to do this for his birthday with our kids (ages 11 - 16). Since we are dealing with COVID restrictions, we played just us 5 at home... It was so much fun! It was a bit challenging for my 11 year old at first, but ended up being a great experience for all. Definitely will do another one soon. I recommend this one for sure.

Lots of fun for teenage girls!

I bought the murder mystery for my daughters 14th birthday. The girls had a blast, they really enjoyed the encrypted messages. They did not find who was guilty but they did not mind.
