    Pajama Party Pandemonium

Posted by Teena on Apr 25th 2024

I’m doing this party for my great niece’s 16th birthday. She loved the aspect of not having a murder during the party but rather an investigation of a saboteur. I love the characters and the pre-game tasks. Her mom and I discussed whether this scenario might be better suited for younger girls but we decided that since this is the girl’s first Mystery Party it’s perfect!

An afternoon of fun for a whole bunch of 11 year olds. Wish it was a little more challenging.

Used this + the expansion pack for my child's 11th birthday party. We had 22 kids in total so almost all characters were used. I did not pre-assign any characters as I didn't know how many kids would cancel at the last minute (and it seemed like added work to reassign characters). Everyone was assigned characters as they walked into the party and they were quick to get into their respective roles. Was pleasantly surprised to see the number of kids who stayed in character till the end. Something I wish I could change was the fact that I skipped out on the optional games/activities thinking it would take too much time. In our case, the girls found the notes super easy to decode and and pretty much everyone guessed the 'saboteur' even before we were mid way through round 2 (or the forensic notes bit). I loved how they were so into it that they took down notes and investigated seriously. However this meant that we ended up going through the whole mystery way faster than I had planned for. They all said they had fun but wouldn't have minded a harder to solve mystery. In terms of the all the materials provided, the instructions were easy to follow and concise. I would definitely consider purchasing another package from here.

    Slumber party mystery

Posted by Alesha on Jan 20th 2023

I was worried that this party would be too simple for a group of 14-15 year old girls, but they ended up having a fantastic time. The mysteries were just hard enough to keep them interested without being boring.

Great mystery for 11 year olds!

I used this for our Girl Scout troop and it was well-received. They were able to solve the clues and final mystery and really enjoyed it. However, I wish it was set up for virtual parties. If each character's clues were in separate documents, I could have emailed a packet to each participant. As the mystery package was designed for in-person, at each new level, I emailed each person their new clues or put it in a private Zoom chat.

    Straightforward, simple and fun

We loved the Mystery Party for my daughter’s 13th bday celebration because 1) I’m a last minute planner and it only took me about 1.5 hours to cut everything out/have everything planned and ready to go 2) kids can dress up easily (no extra purchase) 3) it was just the right amount of challenge for this age group

Excellent game for a Tween party. Can easily converted for virtual party.

We played this as a virtual party game, and it was a great success!!! We printed and delivered the clue cards along with the pre-party activities that was part of the game pack, and I hosted the session with 14 girls who dialed in via zoom. Lots of laughter and fun while we were all safe in isolation.

    The Girls has fun

The kit contains all you need to throw a pretty thought provoking mystery party. If you can - try to begin with the pre party work; that was my one regret. Next time!!

Great Activity for a Birthday party!

The girls (11 of them) had a great time! My only thought was that it could have been a more difficult mystery, but that was probably my fault because my girls were all 13.
