Murder Mystery Synopsis:
It's the height of Prohibition in 1920s Chicago, and a mob war's brewing between the South Side Gangsters and the Northern Chicago Mob Outfit. The two ruthless crime leaders, Hal Sapone and Beanie O'Dannon, have finally agreed on bootlegging practices in Chicago and have decided to pull together resources for a collaborative effort with criminal endeavors.
On the surface, this strategy is similar to bailing out a sinking ship with tin cups.
Recently, gangsters from the north and south have been spotted together at various speakeasies throughout Chicago, but the tension in the air is always thick enough to be cut with a knife. However, this newfound relationship between the opposing mob bosses has served, thus far, to inhibit gratuitous bloodshed as in the past. Part of the success of this truce is that both crime bosses have found new dames, thereby intertwining more mutual relationships between the two factions.
The two gangs have set an official date to meet at Hal Sapone's Grand Gatsby Speakeasy to resolve all remaining differences. Will these two underground organizations resolve their disputes, or will a massive melee rekindle the fatal flames between them?
This is where your story begins.

A Romping Good Time!
We purchased "The Grand Gatsby" for our daughter's 17th birthday party. We only had 5 days to throw the whole thing together (which I would not recommend). It was a lot of hard work but it was one of the best parties we have ever thrown! We sent out the pre-party activity the morning of the party, which got everyone ready to play their roles. Everyone came dressed in costumes and ready to have fun. The variety and details about each of the characters gave everyone a chance to be involved and ham it up as much as they wanted. The instructions were very detailed which made them a bit tedious, but once I had read everything and got it all laid out and organized it really wasn't that bad, and the party came off without a hitch! I would highly recommend this murder mystery for your party.

Best party purchase!!
I bought “The Grand Gatsby” for our church small group to play. It was so easy to follow and put together, and I love that I could play and be just as surprised at the ending as everyone else! I was nervous because I’ve never been a part of or hosted a murder mystery before. I couldn’t have picked a better one!

This was a roaring good time!
This party was amazing! The directions for the host were clear and easy to follow. The characters were well developed and all participants were equally involved in the storyline, yet the story easily progressed without all the "extra" characters (we has some who were unable to attend). The extra bonus game ideas were fun and added to the enjoyment! This murder mystery party, mixed with decorations and a group that was willing to embrace their characters, made for the party of the year!

This was my first time hosting a murder mystery party. The downloadable kit had everything I needed. It was so easy to prep and also easy for my guests to follow. The story played out fantastically and got even my shy friends chatting! Everyone had a blast we will definitely be planning another one in the near future!

Made for a great night and great memories
We played this for my birthday, with a large group who most of whom didn’t know each other, and this game was great at bribing everyone together. It tells you specifically who to go talk to, and so that will help your guests get to know each other and break the ice! Would highly recommended this one!
