Mystery Synopsis:

Topsy Turvy Land has fallen into chaos. The wicked Scarlet Queen has stolen the crown from the kind-hearted Silver Queen, who has peacefully ruled the land for the past 101 years. Now, under the protection of her fearsome ally, the Greasy Goon, the Scarlet Queen reigns as a heartless dictator. But hope is not lost! Allie, a devoted friend of the Silver Queen, has come up with a clever plan to overthrow the evil ruler. The Flying Monkeys, who have been forced into guarding the crown against their will, only do so out of fear of the Scarlet Queen's wrath. Trapped in the highest palace tower, they can only take to the skies at precisely 3:14 PM. To keep them confined, the queen has banned all clocks from the palace. However, there is one exception: the White Bunny, who follows a strict schedule around the daily criminal trials in the Palace Garden, is the only creature allowed to carry a timepiece. But when the White Bunny returned home after the last trial, a mysterious ransom note and a coded message were waiting on the dinner table. Someone had stolen the White Bunny's precious pocket watch! Now, in a desperate situation, the White Bunny needs the help of friends! Luckily, the Crazy Cap Maker has planned an afternoon tea party, where White Bunny will present the ransom note and the secret message to the guests, hoping they can help solve the mystery, find the watch, and ensure the White Bunny makes it to the next trial in time. If not, the Scarlet Queen may demand the bunny’s head! And so, you have been invited to this tea party. This is where your adventure begins.

Played this at my daughter's birthday.

The kids all had a great time role playing and solving the mystery. A couple of adults assisted the kids who were 6 and 8. However the 12 and 13 year olds were able to play on their own.

    Great full family event

As with any mystery party, it’s best if participants get into character. Ours did! 3 generations. 6 adults and 6 kids ages 5-11. S 1 adult was paired with 1 kid to help read clue cards and share and note key information. Some kids were definitely too young but it didn’t matter because they were part of the fun and enjoyed being in costume. We started with a a parade around the house and when we entered the front door we had to crawl through a tunnel (card tables covered with blankets), and when we emerged we were in topsy turvy land. The tea party was great. The forensics portion was very important to making everyone feel party of solving the mystery.

Kids had a blast dressing up. They were as young as 7 and as old as 13. They were all having a blast.

    Fun party

The kids had a wonderful time dressing up and playing. They were ages 9-11, and it they had no problems with the clues and enjoyed working together to figure out who stole the watch. I had some trouble making the party run smooth, transitioning from one round to the next. The tea party table was out main focus, so round one was the tea party, round two was dinner, and round three was cake so resetting the table for each course was ...but that was poor planning on my part. The instructions were very helpful and took me step by step through the ENTIRE party. All in all the party was a success.

    Fun for the whole family

This is recommended for ages 10 - 14 however; we have younger children playing the parts of the "Card Army" and "Duck Family" from the expansion pack. We have also included some fun loving adults and older kids as the Scarlet Queen, and such. This is a really great game for kid based fundraisers as well as birthday parties.
