Murder Mystery Synopsis:

Bloodworth Falls is an isolated town plagued with scandals. The townsfolk bicker in the streets, and many believe the local government is corrupt. Nevertheless, the mayor is hosting a mysterious masquerade ball in the old Bloodwood Castle. The tickets to the event have sold out in record time. The townspeople are curious to discover why the mayor would put effort into doing something positive in this hopeless town of gloom. Anticipation for the event hangs thickly in the air, and many are already hunting for the perfect mask.
You are worried about what will happen when toxic people come together this night. You are alarmed, as you didn't purchase your ticket - somebody placed it in your mailbox in an unmarked envelope. Somebody wants you there, but you're unsure why. This is where your story begins.

    Great game!

Posted by Michele Dionne on Nov 24th 2019

I host murder mystery dinners regularly and this game was fabulous. I had 9 characters that had never played before and they did amazing. It was easy to follow and out of 6 teams 1 actually solved the mystery. I find sometimes when you have all characters that have never played it is harder to solve but this game was put together very well.

    A wonderful night

Posted by Gina cross on Nov 24th 2019

We did this for a surprise party for a friend. I wanted to be a part of the fun as well, so although challenging, I could keep the mystery by cutting and stuffing the clue cards upside down. I was pleasantly surprised that I could do it without revealing any secrets. The night went off great. Everyone had great time!

Oh My, What a Great Time!

Posted by Michelle Miller on Nov 3rd 2019

We invited fourteen guests to our event - many of which we hardly knew, as we are new to the area. We didn't know what to expect as we have never been or hosted this type of event. Everything went smoothly and people just had a blast. All the suggestions were for organizing and prepping the event were reasonable and easy to do. I do believe this will become a yearly event.

    Fantastic Masquerade!

Posted by Savannah on Aug 24th 2019

Loved the Ravenwood Masquerade Murder Party Kit! I did this for my 30th Birthday Party, and it was a fabulous way to ring in a new decade. Most of the attendees had never done a murder mystery before, and it was fun and easy to follow along with all the clues and trying to figure out whodunit. I was a little nervous about how “clean” this kit would be (ie...regarding lust/affairs as causes for murder/motives), and I did note that it was in the teen category so I was hoping those things would not be an issue. It was a great storyline and filled with suspense for all of us without having to involve those stipulations. I highly recommend this version for youth groups and adults alike! The Ravenwood bundle was a wonderful success for my adult friends, and I look forward to using more mystery parties for future events! :)

    We LOVE My Mystery Party!!!

Posted by MMP's Biggest Fans on Aug 16th 2019

My young adult daughters hosted their first murder mystery party and played The Raven Masquerade Murder. Everyone had so much! We went all out with the food and decor. Like others shared in their reviews, people asked my daughters when they were hosting their next party. They have hosted three more: Murder at the Grand Gatsby, The East Side Story, and Panic at the Disco, and are already planning our next one for October. My daughters didn't start incorporating the bonus games until their third party (which their guests enjoyed immensely), so I encourage you to play them!

    Extremely fun!

Posted by Rachel on Aug 12th 2019

I spent hours prepping for this party and it was worth every penny and second I put in!! All of my friends had a blast and stayed in character the whole time! It was honestly the best birthday party I have ever had! My only concern: 1. There was a lot to story line and character stories. We were running out of time and I was still finding things out about my own character after the game ended. This was seriously so fun! It was a great theme, and I highly suggest it! I will absolutely be buying many more of these murder mystery parties!

    Lots of Fun

We played this with 11 players, everyone got dressed up and really got into the spirit of the mystery and had a marvelous night. I recommend this as something a bit different and entertaining.

    Epic!

Posted by LC! on Jun 13th 2019

Epic! That was the buzz word for weeks after this party and that's what a hostess wants to hear! This game was so much fun! I stood in the kitchen and listened to all my guests in the back yard talking and it was amazing! It's was like listening to a movie set! I have NEVER had so much guest inner-action at my Annual Parties! Super easy to put together and run! Purchased our second just today for this years party and in less than 24 hours of posting that we are beginning our planning we had requests for invites!

~10 Murder Mysteries Run - My conclusion: Very good

Posted by Tony Dougherty on Jun 4th 2019

I've been participating and running Murder Mystery parties for about 15 years now and have had mixed experiences over the years with pre-packaged MMs. I was getting so frustrated with some that I wrote the last couple myself. I rate this one as "very good". The stories were excellent, there were no aukward love/lust relationships (which are a very common motive in these type games). We played with the full compliment of 18 players and it suffered from what many MMs do - that you only experience a third of the storylines. Because of that, without going to every single other character, interviewing them and doing detailed deduction, I had no hope of uncovering the murderer. But I knew that going in and just enjoyed "the ride". I thought the pre-game activies were excellent. The theme, where every character had a color, was really fun and made it easy to remember who was who (which is often a problem). I loved that we were encouraged to reveal our deep, dark secrets in act 2 rather than try to hide them. And I loved the final round, where we all had information to read and where we detailed our motives. I will likely be purchasing from this site again.
