Sin City Slayer: Vegas Casino Murder Mystery Party Game

I used the Sin City Slayer for an after prom event. The game was well designed with instructions that were easy to follow.

Such a quick and easy way to plan a unique party idea for work, so many characters to choose from, and I really appreciate the flexibility . Haven't played yet, but the instructions and resources make the planning stress-free and fun. Can't wait to see how it all plays out!

This mystery pack had everything I needed for a fun holiday party for work! I could customize some aspects which made the process even more exciting! Would recommend and purchase again!

I'd never hosted a party like this but this was very straightforward. We had a group of 14 people. I printed everything out and cut the clues out text side down and then just revealed the top corner of each one to place it in the envelopes, so that I could play along with no spoilers. It's a fair amount of work, so the pre-printed option is not a bad choice if you also want to play as the host! Everyone had an amazing time and got super into character. We did 1 round of bonus games of Yahtzee, Blackjack, and Flip7 for casino chips, but then everyone just wanted to keep playing straight through because they got so into it. Highly recommend - I did a ton of research prior and am happy this is what we chose as first time hosts!

Multi-generational party night with parents and kids about to leave for college - we had so much fun - everyone went all in.

Game went great! Ended up having 18 players. Everyone got into character. I really liked the round of reveals at the end- got everyone involved!

I hosted the Sin City Slayer - A Vegas Murder Mystery- for a young adult group and we had a blast! There were 22 of us and so we also used some characters from the first expansion kit. Everyone went all out with their costumes and characters including props and accents. Hosting is a lot of work, but the instructions are nice and clear, so it is very doable. It is so great that you can host and also be a part of the murder mystery. We had one sleuth who figured out who the murderer was! It was great fun listening to everyone's guesses and reasons. Thanks for the wonderful materials! We will definitely do another one!

We hosted the Sin City Slayer mystery party for our adult children, adult grand children and their spouses. It was the first time and we had an amazing time! We decorated the entire basement including real casino game which we played during the mystery, Do the RAP Battle game we all laughed till we hurt. It was great! Well organized, fun characters and story line- loved it. There is a LOT of prep work for a big party (22 for us) but well worth it. They have voted it be a yearly get together. I call that a win!

After I mentioned having done a MMP at a restaurant, my daughter was determined to do one at home for her 11th bday with family. She looked at all the options, picked this one, and I bought the download package. There was a lot to go through and it seemed a little overwhelming at first, but after my second read through, it became clear that you actually don’t have to do much except hand out the clue cards and your guests will take care of the rest. We had a younger child and and adult I knew would not be participating no matter what was going on around them, so we assigned them non-required parts—i printed out the character sheet for my daughter to pick roles and just made sure her assignments would work with the story and people so she didn’t know whodunnit. If you are in character, your guests will be immediately in character. I answered the door as the wealthy socialite, and my guests immediately responded as their characters, and it turned out great. It was hysterical. My son was the magician and he learned a card trick to do with people as he walked around. My husband was the poker player/comedian and would randomly pull out his phone and loudly give a really corny joke. It all flowed really well. We played a nerf gun poker game between rounds to space things out. Took about 3 hours to complete with the game and food in between. Multiple people said it was a great change and asked if we could do another one at xmas! A month later now and family members are still treating each other like the game. Will definitely be doing another one.

This murder mystery was actually written so that guests could identify the murderer. The characters were all funny and unique.

Our group of 12 women had so much fun playing this! It was even better that everyone dressed up as suggested and played along the whole time. We will definitely be playing again soon!

Overall this went very well. Had 10 adult players. All neighbors. Everyone embraced the process and got into character, which will make or break the fun of it. I put a lot of extra work into the printing of everything, and sealing in envelopes complete with wax top secret seals. I went to party city and bought a ton of casino decorations. I spared no detail, and it played out flawlessly. This is definitely one you will get as much out of, as you put into, with prep. I agree that the directions could be spelled out differently because having never done one, it was hard to figure out. I probably read the whole thing 20x to make sense of it all. It's all there, just be prepared if you're not versed on this type of activity, you will need to really read and prepare. It's work, but fun. Everyone thanked me days after and said how much fun it was. Age range 40-60, and every single person totally got into character.....people I thought would not, did, and all said they would 100% love to play again.

It was a great fun night as people dressed as their character. The story in interesting and great to play. Only negative is that the clues for various characters could have been a bit better / more. Some of the characters (required and optional) had very random clues and story line which resulted in some people being a little less interested.

This is the second murder mystery I’ve done and every person in attendance has completely enjoyed ourselves and we plan on doing it again. Ending/revealed can be a little confusing and could use a little more clarification but we have no complaints and absolutely loved it!

- make it easier to print out and cut out just the required sections.
- text indicating color of carpets on the investigation sheet was barely legible.

Nobody guessed the murderer correctly.

We have always wanted to do a murder mystery and just never got around to it. With minimal funds we noticed we could purchase the pack and do it ourselves.

The pack was complete with everything we needed to know and easy to use instructions.

Our party was a total success! Everyone had a great time!! Decorated the house as a casino and played BlackJack and Roulette for additional fun. Just want to mention, as the host, it is hard to avoid knowing information while cutting and preparing guests clues from the download version. The main issue is that no matter what level of difficulty is purchased the first 8 characters are required and the remaining characters are optional so you know the optional characters are not the victim or murderer. This is only an issue for the host. As the host, who wanted to participate, I tried very hard to avoid knowing character names and where they were listed on the invite list before the game. Next time I would have some one else that doesn't know this information cut the clues.

Well organized, easy to follow game. Lots of laughs and tons of fun.

Everything was laid out great! We had 38 guests so we purchased both expansion packs. Everyone had a blast and really got into character. Only thing is since this game expands so big it would have been great if there were more "required" characters, but still AWESOME!

Really great experience. PDFs given were very straightforward. Would most likely purchase additional on another occasion or recommend to others.

This was a fun Murder Mystery! We decorated the whole house like a casino. When guests arrived we took a Polaroid picture of each individual and had them pin the photo up on a bulletin board next to their character name. The bulletin board was a great reference so everyone knew who's who. We didn't do any of the mini-games and still had a blast. No one guessed the murderer in the end. It wasn't very obvious but this was still a very fun event.

We had a really great time. Everything came together really well. The Vegas themed party was easy for people to dress in costume, everyone got into character!

I ordered this for our New Year's Eve party. We did one last year and our friends are still talking about what a great time they had.
Can't wait to do a Vegas theme. Product is very easy to follow along with and suggestions for games and food.
Will continue to come back for future mystery dinner games.

We decided to have our engagement party as a murder mystery. We ended up using the 2nd expansion as well, with about 25 people involved. It was so good to see everyone remain in character and play the game. Since this was our first murder mystery we were able to see what we would change for next time. With so many people, we should have allowed for a lot more time in between rounds. When it came time to guess the killer, no one actually got it, so kudos to the actual killer for being so sneaky. Overall a fantastic evening.

I enjoyed the product and had fun doing the clues. I was disapointed in how it ended. I think it was very anti climatic to have someone just simply read out I did it. I would have preffered for there to be a time for discussion and people to compare their choices for murder prior to finding out. My suggestion would be for the host to reveal the murder.

Everything went smoothly and we had a great time. People really took on their personas and did their own background research, which was fun.

We had a great time with the Sin City Slayer murder mystery party. We had 10 teenage girls and they had a blast. They all showed up in full costume and really acted out their parts. Only one girl solved the mystery but that was cool too because it wasn't too easy.
