Murder Mystery Synopsis:
Dr. Larry Doom, heir to the Doom estate and a renowned chemist, has led a life mired in misery, lies, and deceit. After receiving troubling news from his doctor that he wasn't as healthy as he believed, he reflected on all the evil deeds he had committed against those closest to him. In a fit of regret, he pleaded with his niece, Miss Crimson, the only one still in his good graces, to host a dinner at Doom Mansion so he has a chance to reconcile with those he had wronged.
The guests will undoubtedly arrive at the mansion in style, anticipating an intriguing and mysterious evening. Dr. Doom has planned a glamorous night filled with sumptuous food, engaging conversations, exciting party games, and his long-awaited and highly anticipated apologies to everyone on the guest list.
You’ve received an invitation from Dr. Doom, who wishes to make amends. You hope the night holds nothing more than apologies. Dr. Doom isn’t known for his honesty, so you worry this could be a setup full of secrets, lies, and danger. This is where your story begins.

Got this as a last minute idea for dinner party. Easy set up and was a blast to play. Instructions were clear and everyone had a great time!

Great fun for a family vacation!
What I love about this mystery party set is that the host can participate in the mystery if you have someone to help you set it up ahead of time. I had a friend organize the clues for me before we left for vacation so that everyone was able to participate. Another thing I love is that the themes are so family-friendly without being boring at all! And there is room for improvisation but still enough script to have a direction. But what I love the most is that, if you have a player that you do not want to be the "bad guy," then you simply assign him/her one of the optional roles. My younger brother (24yo) has Down syndrome, so I was unsure if he would be able to play his role alone, but because we all went into the game knowing he wasn't the bad guy, we were able to relax and help him a lot more without fear of ruining the secrets. My brother played the butler, which was perfect because he was rather quiet the whole time. Great GREAT feature! (This would work for a child who wanted to participate as well.) The one thing that I did not like was the the host's instructions are a little confusing. Again, I played a role (Ms. Crimson, who is the dinner party host in the story too) while also hosting the mystery party, so I did not read ahead before the day of the party. That could have had an effect, but I was very confused, which caused us all to break out of character a couple times. Overall, great product!!

Enjoyed this Mystery Party
I used this Mystery Party pack for my son's 15th birthday party. My son, along with his 9 guests, had a really good time with this pack. It was just the right length for them (it took them about 2.5 hours, including taking photos & eating finger foods) and most were able to figure it out, which was a plus as they really wanted to be able to figure it out!

Fun Time
Made for a very fun night for my family (aged 24+). It wasn’t terribly difficult, 3/6 of us guessed the correct answer, but totally appropriate for first timers! Definitely would recommend!
